Overview

  • This is a teaching resource that explains in simple steps how to prepare a 3D model  created inside an industry-standard 3D package like 3D-max Blender or Google Sketch Up and how to convert it into an appropriate format for rendering in the Virtual Environment. The tutorial demonstrates how to load the model into the Virtual Environment, explaining how to make adjustments to the Phython code and how to successfully run the scene on the computer clusters that make up  four projections in a Virtual Environment Projection system.

Overview

  • REViZIO is a digital visual revision for users of Film & Media created at the National Film School at IADT Dun Laoghaire. The project creates simple demonstration videos on film cameras, video cameras, digital post-production etc. The videos are optimized for online viewing and presented on a simple website for mobile revision. In effect the teaching materials become the learning materials.

  • This project involved creating a series of screen casts, listening examples and supporting assessment relating to audio editing. The series centered on the fundamentals of audio editing without focusing on the features of a specific application. These teaching resources are aimed at users who wish to revise or improve their knowledge. They would are especially useful for self directed learners and users who have missed a lab session.

  • Introduces main financial statements to users using a series of screen casts, and explores the possibility of users recording the game on a laptop. It develops teaching notes which can be used where appropriate. The game facilitates  creating a quiz which can be played using a VLE. It also improves the assessment process and explores the possibility of using online assessment techniques.
