Dear current and past members of IRAAL/CTF,

This is a message to remind you that the deadline for submission of abstracts for the Language Policy and Language Learning conference which will take place directly after a meeting in UL of the AILA Executive and International Committee and of AILA-Europe, is Monday 8 December. That is just three weeks away. We would also be grateful if you would remind your colleagues and students about this conference and urge them to submit a good abstract for a poster, paper, or panel.

Au revoir Odette

It is with saddened hearts that we say goodbye to our guest editor of the last few months, Odette Gabaudan. Odette has done a sterling job of providing the Modern Languages’ Community with up to date news and information taking place around and about. We would like to thank Odette for her input and collaboration – it has been great.

Good news though, we do have a colleague ready to wear the guest editor cap for the next 6 – 8 weeks. We would like to welcome Dr. Isabelle Lemée of St Patrick’s College, Drumcondra and thank her in advance for her contributions to the community.

Isabelle’s profile can be viewed by clicking on the image on the top right corner of the blog page. As always, if you have any interesting news or events relevant to the Modern Languages’ Community, please forward it to ndlrmodernlanguages@nuigalway.ie.
