The 3rd Irish Workshop on Mathematics Learning and Support Centres

The Department of Mathematics in conjunction with the Mathematics Support Centre in NUI Maynooth hsoted  the 3rd Irish Workshop on Mathematics Learning and Support Centres on Friday the 5th of December, 2008. This event was part sponsored by the NDLR

The theme of the conference was ‘Is Mathematics Support Worthwhile?’ It focused on ways of measuring the impact of Mathematics support and ways of improving the effectiveness of initiatives.

NDLR Upload Day – June 4th

The Maths and Stats Service Teaching, the Computer Science and the Education Communities of Practice would like to invite you to an NDLR Upload Day.

The NDLR is the HEA funded library of e-learning resources created for, and by, all third level academic staff in Ireland.

All participants will be made NDLR contributors for the day. By the end of the day all participants will have a good understanding of the upload process, and will have contributed to the library. 11.15 – 12.00 Upload an Object, attach Metadata, Catalogue the Object

12.00 - 1.00 Contribute Objects

1.00 – 2.00 LUNCH

2.00 – 2.30 Edit an Object, reuse Metadata

2.30 – 4.00 Contribute Objects

An object can be as simple as an image, a problem sheet or a set of notes; or as complex as you wish. The key property is reusable.
